Year 1957, was the birth of a 5.002 sq. meters new school. It was named Malagasang III Elementary School-Annex of Malagasang II Elementary School. The main school which is located near the boundary of Malagasang 1 and 2 created a problem to those students who lived far way from the school. The students had to consume so much time and effort just to be in school on time. They had to prepare earlier, walk longer back and forth so as not to miss classes. The inaccessibility of school thus resulted to a lost of pupils’ interest to study and later to become drop-outs.
The municipality’s remedy to the problem was to build a new building nearer to the students who were not accessible to the main school. While construction was in process, an improvised classroom was set-up in some houses and backyards offered voluntarily by parents and concerned citizens so as not to discontinue the education of their children.
The new school was a single storey four-room building made up of creates blocks, metal, hardwood and galvanized iron for its roof. Windows made of Capiz was built in an ample size of land area surrounded by rice fields. Many fruit trees environed the school to provide a cool and refreshing atmosphere necessary for the students to study well.
However, it only offered grades I to grades IV level. Students had to transfer to the main school for grade V and VI. Its administration was managed by the principal of the main school. A teacher-in-charge was assigned to oversee the day to day operation of the school. Mrs. Reyes and Mrs. Rizalina Mendoza were among the pioneer teachers. Mrs. Mendoza acted as the teacher-in-charge. It lasted for years until its enrolment increased.
Eventually, Grade V and VI were established and commencement day was finally held in the annex school. With its continued increase of enrolment, the government with the help of some civic groups, joined hand in hand and later on, more and more buildings were installed and constructed such as: H.E. building, clinic, canteen building, CR, stage and classrooms.
Due to scarcity of funds, some problems have arisen. No safe water supply and electricity, until the year 1990, all the problems were almost solved.
